March 30th, 2014 - I Palindrome I

This song is full of various palindromes, from Flansburgh’s backing lyrics even to the track’s run time of 2:22, if you want to be that precise. My favorite though is Linnell’s part in the bridge that forms a gigantic palindrome.

"Son I am able she said, though you scare me. Watch, said I, beloved, I said, watch me scare you though. Said she, able am I, Son."

The Moon Song (Studio Version Duet)
Karen O featuring Ezra Koenig

In this new rendition of “The Moon Song,” Karen O is joined by Vampire Weekend frontman Ezra Koenig. “I wrote the song as a duet,” Karen O explained. “I was really excited at the prospect of getting to record it with a male vocalist. Ezra was super cool and open, he slipped into character like a champ and damn he’s got the goods.”

A special three-song EP of “The Moon Song” arrives this week on iTunes.

Truly Madly Deeply (Radio Edit)
Cascada

fuckyeahalternateversions:

So going thru some music i downloaded a while ago, I found this gem. Cascada, a German dance music act, did a cover of Truly Madly Deeply by Savage Garden, back in 2006, as a part of their album Everytime We Touch. What’s even better is the last track on the album is a dance remix of the song. A eurodance remix of a soft rock song from the 90s, that we’ve all had stuck in our head at some point in time. Enjoy!
